"The House of Strength crew is the best around! The mobility and strength I have gained through working with them has been phenomenal, and it has helped me continue progressing in my health journey. Since I started working out with House of Strength, I have lost 70+ pounds of fat and increased my muscle mass by over 30 pounds! I would highly recommend Matt, Kyler, and Sean for all your fitness needs!"
Fitness Training Facility FAQs
At the House of Strength we believe quality of movement, your joint's capacity for movement, and your ability to organize dynamic movements through space is integral to your overall health and performance. It is this philosophy that drives our programming and defines us as a facility. We are not another big box gym offering discounted memberships with a "one size fits all" program. Instead, we offer exceptional coaching and advanced program design to cater to your individual needs. We want you to get stronger. We want you to move better. We want you to drop body fat. We want you to be out of pain. We want you to perform at a high level. We want you to live your best life. We care about your success and you are the reason we are so passionate about the work we do within the house we call home.
We are a functional training facility that prioritizes movement over machines. The equipment we use, or training tools, help facilitate this type of training so that you see better results in a shorter amount of time. A large area of field turf allows for dynamic movement through open space, a multi station Rogue rack system is home base for many of our strength training exercises, our cardiovascular equipment includes air bikes, rowers, and motorless curved treadmills, and our kettlebells, dumbbells, bands, medicine balls, TRX suspension trainers, sleds, and cable machines round off the facility equipment we utilize to help give you the best workout possible!
The House of Strength coaches hold multiple certifications relating to the fields of fitness and performance training. We utilize the techniques and philosophies these certifications provide to help you reach your goals as quickly and as safely as possible. These certifications include:
-NSCA CPT (National Strength and Conditioning Association
- Certified Personal Trainer)
-NSCA CSCS (National Strength and Conditioning Association- Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist)
-NSCA CSPS (National Strength and Conditioning Association
- Certified Special Population Specialist)
-FRC (Functional Range Conditioning)
-FRA (Functional Range Assessment)
-TRX Suspension Training
-RKC (Russian Kettlebell Certified)
-DVRT master instructor (Dynamic Variable Resistance Training)
-Stick Mobility Training
-Accumobility
The facility is habitually cleaned by a professional service and the House of Strength trainers. Equipment is routinely inspected, reracked, and organized in an orderly fashion. All workouts are supervised and programmed by licensed and certified coaches. Fully insured with Professional and General liability insurance. Trained in basic CPR and AED life saving techniques. Don't worry people, we have our stuff together!
We pride ourselves on how accessible our training is for all levels of fitness and athleticism. Customized programming allows us to meet the client at their current fitness level and safely progress that client with a periodized plan. Drawing heavily on the fast moving field of exercise science, we have the ability to work with a huge range of people with varied athletic/fitness goals, chronic issues, or orthopedic concerns. If you are between the ages of 9 - 99 years old, the House of Strength is for you!
One of the desirable qualities of the facility that our clients enjoy is the intimacy and privacy provided while working with their coach within the House of Strength. We are a private training facility that is by appointment only. You won't find any meatheads posing in the mirror and hogging the bench press. You also won't find any stage lights or camera phones filming the social media influencer in their questionable gym attire. Just real people working towards the common goal of creating a better version of themselves. With that said, we would be happy to schedule a phone call and/or facility tour so you can get to know what the House of Strength is all about. This would also provide an excellent opportunity to get to know YOU and why YOU are looking to improve on your overall health and performance.
Interested in starting your journey to become a better version of yourself? It all starts with a phone call to discuss the motivations that are driving you to search for professional guidance. We would establish what health, performance, and fitness goals you may have, and any chronic issues, chronic pain, or orthopedic concerns that you may be experiencing. Being armed with this information we would then schedule an initial appointment with one of the House of Strength Coaches where a more detailed assessment can be performed. Depending on the particular situation and the needs of the client, we would test your joint's mobility, comparing passive and active ranges of motion to start to understand what joints need work, and which ones have a healthy and acceptable amount of movement available to them, move you through open space to see how you organize movements, coordinate movements, and how well you might accept load through said movements, and start to understand your overall fitness level as we ramp up intensity through the initial workout. Through this process we can define our starting point- what movements we would want to work on with initial programming efforts and how well you might react to the overall stress of exercise. Our initial goal will be to create a solid foundation on which we can continue to build from, creating a better version of yourself as we work towards optimal health and fitness.
If you are an athlete we will make you stronger, faster, more powerful, and more resilient to injury. Your agility will improve, your vertical will increase, your core will learn to stabilize, you will learn how to accelerate and produce force, and your enhanced ability to move through open space will separate you from your competition. Quite simply put- you will be a better athlete and you will play your sport at a higher level!
If you are an adult you can expect to see a significant increase in your energy levels, a dramatic improvement in your overall strength, and a notable increase in your mobility/flexibility. Your balance will improve, your percent body fat will decrease, your core will learn to stabilize, many of your nagging chronic pains will subside or disappear, and your enhanced ability to move through open space will keep you competing in the game of life. Quite simply put- you will be functioning at a much higher level and feel younger for it!
